I've seen a lot of threads like this one, but I haven't found for a similar reason.

I NEVER had a problem with my computer doing this previously.

I had a friend of mine build me a gaming computer. Everything worked perfectly fine. I never had a problem with it, and I had it for almost 2 years. Recently, I mentioned to same friend that I wanted to get a drawing program and he said he had one. So he came over and installed two programs onto my computer. Unknown to me, they were illegal copies.

Every since those were installed, my computer would give a loud buzzing noise, and just freeze. I would have to do a hard reset to get it back to work. I deleted both the programs, and did a search for any remaining files. I thought the problem was fixed, but when I played Final Fantasy XIV, it did the same thing. So I had to hard reset. Then I just used the computer for streaming, and it still shut down.

I ran both a virus and malware check, I deleted all files and programs he had installed, I cleaned all the vents to see if maybe it was a over heating problem, I did a RAM test over night with no problems, and it's still doing it. Please help! My next move would be to take it to a repair shop and I dont want to do that.

I had an issue like this with an illegal copy of photoshop, what I did completely wipe Windows back to defaults! I was searching for days to see if there was any temp files left, any programs running on boot that were using a lot of CPU but nothing, after I wiped the PC not a single issue!
