I had asked about a year ago for help with building a computer, and the forums here were so much help. A year later and I had decided to give my younger brother my computer and decided it was time to make a new computer. I'd like it to be a bit more powerful than the last, but considering it has almost the exact same budget as before, I'm not entirely sure if it will. Now, I had been talking to a good friend of mine who knows quite a bit about computers (or so he tells me), and he suggested a whole build. Afterwards though, he also suggested that I share it and see what others think. After all, he didn't want to be the reason a PC I build wasn't the best it could be.

The link to the pc part picker is here.

Now it's not entirely accurate. It says the price was only about 880~, but we decided to change the Motherboard to the one that costs ~90 dollars more with the build in wifi, so that brings the total cost to 970, which leads about 30 to 40 dollars for a case. I don't need any peripherals or even an operating system, as my brother agreed to buy those as a thank you for the computer. All in all, it comes out to a total of just a little over 1000, which is nice.

But am I getting the best bang for my buck? Would I need a better PSU (I often hear stories about how a bad PSU spells disaster). I don't mind if you say the build is horrible and I should replace everything, or what. I'm just looking for a second opinion before I pay so much money!

Anyways, now so my post isn't 'ignored' I'll do the whole 'ask for a newbie thing.'

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: This week, as in I was originally going to today.

Budget Range: 1000 to 1100. 1150 the absolute max, including everything. That's how much I have in hand.

System Usage from Most to Least Important:Gaming primarily. There are some excellent games coming out soon. Streaming movies and on Twitch and the like would be nice, but obviously not a priority.

Are you buying a monitor: Nope!

Parts to Upgrade: ... The whole computer? I'm buying a new one!

Do you need to buy OS: Nope!

Preferred Website(s) for Parts:Amazon is my preferred. I have Amazon Prime, and I've dealt with them for years. Obviously though, I'm not willing to pay more than a few bucks.

Location: Kentucky, USA. Although I'm very busy with work, and I'd rather just order the pieces. I don't have time to be driving around.

Parts Preferences: by brand or type (e.g.: I'm not really sure? I mean, I really enjoyed my geforce GTX 770 on my old pc, but I probably couldn't even tell the difference. Just... stability!

Overclocking: Nope! I'd rather not risk it, at least not now while I don't have the money for additional cooling.

SLI or Crossfire: Yes / No / Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: 1024x768 Yeah, I need to get a new pc soon

Additional Comments: Even if the computer is perfectly fine, I'd love a reccomendation on a case. I don't really know what I'm looking for. A full size? Is that a thing? If I have a bunch of lights or whatever, I'd just prefer them not to be blue. My old pc was all blue theme, and I'm tired of the color.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I'm starting a new life! I moved away, gave my computer away, but would really like to get back into gaming :)

Thanks for any and all help you wonderful people :) I sure hope I did this correctly!
