Best gaming laptop under $1200 - GTA V Rainbow Six Siege, etc

Looking for a new laptop, to play some new games, and for school as well. Just wanna be able to play on low or medium with 50 fps at least. Dont care bout ultra settings, or AA or anything like that. I want to be able to use the laptop for 2-3 years and my budget is $1200. I was looking at these at these in particular:

is the $100 difference worth?
i was also curious as to how future proof 8 gb of ram is, like coould i run new games for the next 2 years? and could i upgrade laptop ram?

The ASUS has a much better graphics card than the msi you listed. 8GB of RAM should be good for a while now, but it is getting to the point where it is being a minimum rather than a recommended. RAM is usually the easiest part of the laptop to upgrade, but can void the warranty
