My computer is overheating when playing games. Is it because of a virus or any other type or damage caused to computer?

When im on ethernet or playing video games my computer reaches over 100 degrees celcium and automaticly shuts down im currentlly using program MSI afterburner to prevent my computer from overheating any help'?

Hi there, Can we please get full system specs?
You haven't overclocked the system?
Is the system pre-built or did you build it yourself?
What CPU cooler are you running? are the fans working?

A virus would not cause a system to overheat unless the system was not stable at load in the first place. First thing to check is the cooling setup, clean and reseat the heatsinks with new heat grease and clean the fans and vents.
