Please help! So my computer has 4 GB of 1600mhz hyperX RAM and I just added in 2 more modules of the same type, and my computer keeps crashing! But here's the weird part. It is stable with only 8gb RAM, (i've tested this with both modules) and keeps blue screening with the 12 gigs!

My Specs:
CPU: AMD A10-7850k
MOBO: MSI A88x-G45 Gaming
You already know the ram
GPU: PowerColor R9 280
PSU: 630W Green Rosewill 80+ Bronze

Thanks in advance guys. I hope to get this fixed!

This has been fairly common with unmatched RAM modules. DDR2 didn't do this, lower-speed DDR3 didn't do this, but today's higher-speed DDR3 has a habit of doing this. That's why matched pairs / quads sell so well.

You have done the right test to show that each pair of RAM works properly by itself. Most of the threads that I have seen with this issue solved involved using the BIOS to increase memory voltage a slight bit - perhaps 0.05 volts. I have never done this myself, and will not take responsibility if your RAM catches fire. But it's the most common solution that I've seen.

update the BIOS within BIOS, not in windows! if it´s not up to date already

are there 3 or 4 sticks of RAM?
if 3: did you place them correctly like the manual recommends it?

is the 8pin ATX12V/EPS Power connector plugged into the motherboard and not just one 4Pin?

install all sticks of RAM and reset BIOS (clear cmos), try booting

does it beep or does the LED code show anything?

Thanks for all the answers guys. I'll try upping the voltage when I get home. Also, I started out with 1 4 gig module, and added 3 more 4 gig modules. They are all the same speed, manufacturer, and size.
