Increasing 970 voltage doesn't affect temperature or stability? (MSI AfterBurner) OC Help!

Hi,
I have been using MSI afterburner to overclock my gigabyte GTX 970 G1 gaming.
So far, I have achieved a seemingly stable:

Core clock: +180
Mem clock: Havent OC'ed yet
Power limit: 112% (Maxed out in MSI AB)
Core Voltage: +87 (Also Maxed out in MSI AB)

When I try to push it to +190 I get a driver crash. I would like to up the voltage more. The temp difference between +0 Mv and +87 Mv is 2 degrees? Card consistently sits at 62 celcius.

So, is there a way to up the voltage and use the additional temperature headroom to increase the OC some more?

Thanks.

Boost of 1509Mhz

Some people say the only way of bypassing this limit is by ripping off some of the components on the actual card.
That seems a bit extreme for an extra few fps.

I was hoping for a decent increase in fps (in games) by overclocking this card, but it seems I may be disappointed....

yeah--its a shame they were so conservative with the voltage on the gtx970 unlike some earlier cards

For anyone with the same problem, I ended up flashing a new BIOS onto my GPU to increase the power limit, My actual gain wasn't a lot and really it just bought more stability to my current setting (I still have a terrible card for OC'ing, you may have better luck).

The bios also came with a custom fan code so that the fans can be turned off like on the MSI card.
