Hi there!
I have a gaming PC with relatively high end components (specs listed below). However, I tend to get frequent and noticeable fps drops when playing games. It happens on most games I play where they would run at 60 fps and drop down to about 45 fps for seemingly no reason regardless of the settings I am playing on. I have tried the following to fix the issue;
*Unparking cpu cores.
*Disabling Anti-virus.
*Disabling Hyper-Threading.
*Changing power options to prefer performance on windows and Nvidia control panel.
*Did a fresh install of Windows and all the drivers.
*Scanned for malware and viruses using Malwarebytes and Bitdefender.
*Updating all the drivers to the latest version.
None of these seemed to have worked for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Specs;
MSI Z97 Gaming 7 Motherboard
Intel i7 4790K running @ stock speeds
Nvidia Titan X
16GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600MHz
Corsair 750 M Power Supply
OS and programs are installed on a 240 GB SSD While games are installed on a 2TB Hard Drive.
While playing, the CPU reaches about 65 degrees Celsius while my GPU reaches about 83 Degrees when playing demanding games. I have read that this is common for the Titan X with the stock cooler which is what I have.
