How can I make this build better?

I'm working on my first pc build and am a bit hesitant to pull the trigger on buying anything. It's purpose is to run engineering programs, basic video editing, and some gaming. Is there anything that you would recommend changing? I'm especially hesitant on my graphics card and screen combination. My original price range was about $1500, but I decided that I'd rather spend a little more for better equipment.

Here's my parts list:

That build looks fine for the dollar amount and for your uses. If you wanted to stay with a 4GB GPU and were okay with upping the budget by a couple hundred then the GTX 980 would be better than that R9 380 4GB. However, for that price point you would be better off going with the R9 390 with 8GB of VRAM.

Your rendering would be faster and you could game at higher resolutions with higher fps. This would definitely help with the projection onto two 27" panels. Especially, if they would go over 1080p in resolution.

You are wasting your money with the 5820K. You might as well just have a 4790K in terms of PCI lanes. If you want your money's worth and have lots of PCI lanes then the 5930K will be the one you need.
