i5 4690k oc vs i7 4790 for gaming

Which one will be hood for gaming and video streming form YouTube?
If i overclock the i5 to 4.4 ghz is it going to perform as the i7? The i7 4790 will not oc so is it future proof?
With the i5 i will get the noctua nh d14 or deepcool assassin ii cooler.
With i7 and hyper 212 evo

Yash2000 :

Gaming the 4690K overclocked will do much better.

Streaming, editing, rendering the i7 4790 will come in handy.

Get the NH D15 or Nepton 120XL you should be able to get 4.6 Ghz easily as long as your motherboard is decent.

Do you mean i7 4790k? I would take the 4790k over the 4690k + D14 since the overall price would be similar. The i7 would perform better, and be more future proof.

Unless you do a lot of streaming and video editing i would say stick with the i5 4690K

Get a Cryorig H7 and something like a MSI Z97 Gaming 5 and 4.6 Ghz should be a walk in the park.

No I would not get the i7 4790 at all. I would get the 4790k.

The i5 is better at nothing. The i7 already runs at 4.4ghz.

I would change the hyper 212 evo to a Cryorig H7, better performance + better aestetics.

Also he may not live in the US so the prices may be a bit off.

I live in india and i i'll get msi gaming 5 mobo
And i do not stream alot its for gaming mainly
