System: Asus Z97-A MOBO with i7-4790K CPU and GTX 960 GPU (System not built yet but components either here or on order)
I've got a HP 2009m monitor and WILL have some 4K monitor. May go with a 40" 4K, in which case I won't use a second monitor. If I go with a 27"-28" 4K monitor then I might want to use the HP (1600x900) to display the Windows 7 desktop/apps and the 4K monitor for video/photo editing and viewing. Those smaller 4K monitors reportedly have scaling issues which make desktop/app icons/buttons/text tiny. The 4K will use a DisplayPort connector on the 960. I think I can use the DVI-I connector and included DVI-to-VGA adapter to connect to the HP (VGA & DVI-D connectors). I'm ASSUMING I can't use the MOBO VGA connector because of needing to disable the onboard graphics. At least I had to disable that on my other Win7 computer when I got my 750 Ti GPU. Either way, would it be possible - and look great on both displays - to drive the monitors at different resolutions?
