I had a wd blue 500gb hard disk in the past and my pc ran for about 4 days continuosly for torrent download. And after 4 days i shut down my pc and then after fews days later my bios screen takes more time to start and then booting takes long and after few weeks later my hard disk's 2 out of 4 partition were corrupted and needed format. Then after few weeks later my complete hard disk broken down and then i replaced it as it was in warranty but same happens with the other one and by that time it was out of warranty .
I bought the new 500gb again and the same story happens again and it goes out of warranty. Like that i got 4 wd blue 500gb hard disks damaged. Also when i disconnect my hard disk from motherboard, the bios screen starts quickly and gets to boot screen where it shows plz insert boot media.
So i wanna know that is runnin' pc continuosly can make a hdd go wrong or there might be other fault??

Solution
No running your pc 24/7 doesnt kill the disk. I mean turning it off when not using it keeps power on hours low and the hard drive will last longer. Average hdd life is 3-4 years but i have 10 year old hard drives with no issues. Invest in the wd black drives. They are better and 5 year warrenty
