My MSI 980 Ti 6G has 2 8 pin connectors. My EVGA Supernova G2 came with a couple VGA cables. Each one has 2 6 pin connectors and 1 2 pin connector.

Do i need to fill all the connectors on the GPU with only 1 cable which will leave some pins on the GPU empty or use 2 PSU cables and leave some pins from the cable hanging unplugged?
Sorry for the confusing question, it's just that Windows and Nvidia driver setup don't recognise it and I see that people on youtube have filled up all the connectors on their msi 980 ti so i dont know what to do.

Thanks

Edit: if anyone can skype me i can show them

You should fill every slot on the card, it will require that much power.
I would use two cables, plugging in a 6+2 from each cable into the 8 pin.
