Is it recommended to install games on different partition on the same HDD?

I have a 1TB HDD installed. I'm getting a 2TB external hard disk this week. I'll have to take back-up and master format the HDD. The games I'll be installing are GTA V, Witcher 3, Arkham Knight, MK X, AC:Rogue, AC:Unity and some older titles. Is it advisable to install on the OS's primary partition by having more than 300GB or to install those on D: Partition?

if it's on the same disk no speed difference, just make one big C: and put it all there.

Unless you plan to add a SSD, then one small partition for the OS that you could easely clone on the SSD

Don't partition your drive, it gives no performance improvement at all. Just install everything on one partition which also has your OS and files.
