Ok, so fore warning I am a first time builder of neanderthalic intelligence. That being said I am running an asus maximus vii hero mobo with a samsung 850 evo 500gb ssd as boot drive and applications. I do have a wd black 2 tb hdd for all other things, my question is: if I were to purchase a second 850 500gb would jbod work to increase the storage space to twice that and still run exactly as if I had a 1 tb i.e. not slowing down operations or gaming application from steam?
Before you even mention it I would personally like to avoid raid 0 for the fact that I do not need any more boost than I already have and would like to avoid cloning drives or starting from scratch into raid. Also the reason for this rather than buying a 1tb ssd and cloning is current finances, price of said ssd and 1tb is honestly more than enough for this builds uses. I am aware that jbod is a possibility but am wondering if it would still run windows 10 as fast and games as fast drawing from 2 diff. Drives? If no problems slowing anything down and simply increasing storage how would I go about (jbod) on two ssd's?

No, only one drive can be C (unless you're running raid), you can literally copy/paste your entire steam library...

ok, just didnt want to buy it then find out that transfer from the two causes lag in load times or boot speeds. Secondly, how do i go about properly setting that up? i ask because i recently learned everything from scratch two months ago. I mean that! That being said all of my references, resources and basically all knowledge past vcr and crt era came from google and toms hardware, haha. do i attempt to designate the new ssd as c drive as well? or simply as a spare drive and it will just draw from both fine?

No, only one drive can be C (unless you're running raid), you can literally copy/paste your entire steam library by coping the right folders (there's a manual on how to do that on steam forums). But if you're getting a SSD that's better than your current one you might consider wiping your old one, installing your OS on the new one, and then just go from there.
