Upgrade to I5-6600K, or stay at FX-8320?

I'm planning on doing an upgrade for my PC very soon. I'm going to buy a R9 390 because it's slightly better than a GTX970 and I don't care about the TDP.

But my main question is: Is it worth it to upgrade from a FX-8320 to an Intel I5-6600K? Will the FPS in gaming be higher with the I5, and if so, approximately how much?
I will be overclocking the processors both.

Thanks in advance.

If you have the money, go for it. You won't see a huge jump, but it will set you up with a more current socket and chipset which will leave some room for upgrades for the next couple years. It also supports DDR4 ram so this may or may not be a factor in your choice.

what games do you play? What speed is your FX clocked at?

- if your cpu is clocked at 4.4 or higher and you play games like BF4, Witcher3, GTA v you wouldnt see that much of a difference, making the upgrade mediocre at best.

- if youre playing games like D3, PoE, GW2, WoW, Rift then you would notice a difference, you'll have many less frame drops with the Intel cpu, making the upgrade more worthwhile.
