Hi THF,
I built this computer exactly 2 years ago from today, and I thought that it would be about time to upgrade because of the 2yr cycle of computers.
I wanted to replace the mobo with a Z97 Maximus VII Hero, and upgrade to a GTX 980/980 Ti.
I think I'll be buying some newer fans to go better with the colour scheme, and some cathode lights along with some thermal paste. Price on Amazon is around $800.
Do you guys think it is worth the money for the upgrade? I game at 1440p, but I read VRAM could be a problem. I also haven't changed the thermal paste on my CPU since I bought the machine (stupid I know), will I see any cooling improvements by replacing it?
Thanks.
