Hey fellas!
It's been a while since i was active on these forums last! oh well nonetheless i'm back

So my pc is like 1½ year old regarding a few specs, and i'm looking for a new CPU and motherboard.

I've been thinking of getting i7-4790k, which i'll most likely get! BUT!
Which Motherboard should i get? i honestly have no clue atm!
i have 2 x 500 gb SSD
i have 1 x 250 gb SSD

I have 2 x Geforce gtx 770 running SLI

I don't plan on changing my cards!
So hit me up guys! even if you have suggestions regarding another CPU, maybe get a version thats smaller for lesser money but perhaps same effectiveness?

Hope to hear from you guys!

Peace!
- Kc

Solution
Both boards a great quality, just choose the one that appeals your eye the most, and go with it. The Ranger/Hero/Formula were the top dogs of the bunch, providing the most features on a board. But for SLi most boards of the z97 series get the job done.

ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VII RANGER is the cheapest in my country, about 150$

Should i go for this one? or perhaps the one @boosted1g mentioned?
What would be the difference between the ranger and Gigabyte gaming 7?
The gigabyte gaming 7 costs, 230$

Thanks in advance.

could you tell me why this would be better then a Asus Rog Maximus vii ranger?
In my country the maximus is cheaper by 75$ then the version you suggested, which is best? ;)

I have CM Storm Trooper Gaming Big Tower

Another small question, is i7-4790k? fine? or maybe get something else for a better price but same performance? I rarely stream, but it happens.

yes the MB will fit in it just fine.

The i7 Is a bit overkill but if you stream, do heavy workloads such as rendering, or play CPU intense games it's worth it. The i5 4690k is a bit better in terms of budget, and will deliver just about the same performance as a 4790k. The difference is the hyper-threading (which most games don't utilize but will start one day) and the higher base clock on the i7.

I have my iMac and macbook for video work, and i stream rarely, i mean i think in the total of 3 years i've streamed 3 times in total, and atm i have a i5-2500k and the streams went fine enough.
And i still save about 100$ by buying the 4690k, so maybe i should do this?

should mention i run SLI, and i have 3 monitors, but never had any game problems regarding fps even in BF4 and crysis games.
