I have a stock clocked AMD fx8350 (default bios settings) for a year now. I have only just noticed after scrolling through event manger that i have been getting these warnings:

A corrected hardware error has occurred.

Reported by component: Processor Core
Error Source: Corrected Machine Check
Error Type: Cache Hierarchy Error
Processor APIC ID: 6 (also sometimes happens for 7 aswell)

Ive been seeing these warnings from June last year. I havent seen any affects that might be caused from this however recently my keyboard has stopped typing in a rare odd way (see thread here: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2739707/keyboards-typing-problem-computer.html ) and i wonder if the cache error may be the cause of it.
It appears as though the frequency of these warnings has increasing over the last 2 months to over multiple a day. As many as over 10 in some cases.
This is a shame as i was planning to overclock.
Either way should i be concerned? How do i stop it from happening?

What CPU, motherboard and memory specs you have? Though it might not help much, as this error seems to happen on various AMD and Intel systems. Some people report assosiated crashes, and some like you, nothing else but the error.

You might try running Prime95 and and IBT, and then seeing if it causes more of these. Specially Prime95 with small FFTs and in-place-large FFTs tests as they should use lots of the cache.

I think the error refers to data in one type of cache to be different than in other type of cache, and they should match. That is, L1 through L3 cache. Aparently your CPU is able to detect and correct the error, without executing on wrong memory contents(which could be data or code), so it might be an error that just happens without any particular bad effect. As such, it might not prevent you from overclocking.

Someone with laptop was able to find with this, that his CPU didn't pass the bus check. But I guess that tool only works with Intel CPUs, if you have one, try it out.

Oohps, sorry, now I noticed you had fx8350 CPU, the IPDT won't work, but still, other people with various computers have reported the error, so it can't be AMD speficic.
