Need a check on this build before I buy

I've been working on tweaking this build for a couple weeks, and I think it's done. I've posted on /r/buildapc to see what they thought, and they gave me some solid advice and made a couple improvements. Time for the finishing touches eh? If anyone has any idea how I could lower the price without a significant decrease in performance, or increase the performance without a significant increase in price, I'd be happy to take your advice :D

a few things.

1. you can get faster ram for = or less money.
2. poor quality psu selection
3. for around the same price you can get a 1 ms 144hz monitor 1080p. did not change it in the posted build since you have a 1440p monitor selected.

-I selected the best quality psu i could find for around the same price as the other one. if you decide to change it use this guide and select tier 1 or tier 2.

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

-I selected better ram.

-Note that if you plan to upgrade to windows 10 I do not recommend upgrading from windows 7. it is a much better idea to update from windows 8.1 with a gpt formatted drive. reason being is, windows 7 does not support gpt formatted drives, only mbr. mbr does not support a uefi bios or fast booting. once you are mbr formatted you are stuck with it unless you reformat and do a fresh install of 8.1 or 10.

Awesome, I'll make those changes. As for the monitor, I don't mind a slightly longer reaction time as I can't notice the difference, and I want a 1440p monitor rather than 144hz. Thank you for the help!

I would change the motherboard, case, RAM (Low profile instead of high, like the Vengeance) and power supply to higher quality ones.

The Corsair 200R case is limited on airflow and collect a lot of dust. Cable management is also limited on this case.
