Hello

I am a American living in Japan.

I just bought a GTX 980. My system is a i7 4790K, 16gb 2133 ram and I am upgrading from a GTX 660.

I use my pc for some gaming, graphic design, 3D design and rendering, movie making and music production.

I have a chance to buy a GTX980 ti but they are more expensive here than the US.

If I buy a 980ti it will cost 132 dollars more than what it would cost to order from New Egg or Amazon with the shipping charge included.

It would be great to have more Cuda Cores, and 6gb VRAM for my productivity work.

What are people's opinions, do you think its worth it to pay the extra 132 dollars more to buy a GTX 980 ti than what it would cost to get a GTX 980 ti from the states?

To order from the states can take anywhere from two weeks to two months to receive something from vendors.

I haven't opened the GTX980 yet, I can still take it back.

It isn't worth it to buy a gaming card for productivity work. Nvidia gimps their gaming cards, and anyone doing productivity work on their GPU needs a gpu with double precision and the right productivity focused drivers, which a gaming card does not have. find a quatro.

Totally agree with this guy, for your work you will be better with Quatro card. :)
The case will be different if you want to focus on gaming instead.
