[SOLVED] What's the best way to edit an FLV file?

Hey! I have an FLV file that I need to clip. I do not, however, know enough about video editing to know what software I should use to do this. What video editors are useful with FLV files? Or should I use a converter to change the file into an extension windows movie maker can handle? Thanks!

Honestly I would convert it to another file format first. Personally I always convert them to MP4. I do MP4 as it will play on practically anything, and it makes it very simple to normalize the volume, so all my videos are the same volume. Once it's an MP4 Avidemux can edit it. I only use Linux, so I don't know what windows movie maker can do, but I'd be surprised if it didn't also handle MP4s.
