Hello!
I am deciding to buy a new power supply. The power supply I was deciding to buy was the EVGA Supernova 1000 G2 1000 Watts Gold Plus rating. I just wanted to ask if the power supply will use so much power that it will make my electric bill go up drastically. Thank you in advance!

as mentioned, that is the max capacity but it will not consume that much unless your rig requires it.
so if the pc is in idle, then power consumption is low.

to followup on the question, why do you plan on getting a 1kw psu? just asking as you might be buying what you dont need, as most of us will do fine on a 600w

The PSU will draw what your system needs, and then some more depending on it's efficiency. That supernova has been tested and shows that it deserves that 80plus Gold certification, meaning it is as good as it can get. Anyway, this article explains it better than I can regarding how much power it will draw (and how power supplies work): http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-power-supplies/9/

I am just getting a new power supply to support the graphics cards that require more power.

Well...if you're adding new components that will use more 'power', then yes, your electric bill will probably go up.

I have a 600 watt power supply, would i need to upgrade to a higher wattage to support these cards?
