yes, otherwise you could save a few $$ and get the non K version of that cpu. But since you got a decent cooler i would guess your plan is to OC, so get a Z97 chipset motherboard so you can OC. Although your going to get more performance by putting money into a better gpu like an r9 290/290x/390/gtx970, the 280x is a good choice.
