Hi guys, I need help. I'm at wit's end.

I booted up my computer after installing new PSU + GPU, and the 2 USB slots where my mouse + keyboard were plugged in stopped working. The other USB slots work fine though. If you could help me fix the problem that would be really appreciated, because I am stumped.

Here's some details:
-I plug in my phone charger and YES, it gets power.
- I re-installed my MB drivers and my CPU drivers but it didn't fix the problem
- went in to device manager and uninstalled the offending USB controllers (nothing worked).
- targeted driver software in Device Manager that SHOULD work but I get an error
- it's my blue USB plug ins that aren't working right now

My specs are:
Asus A88XM-A Motherboard
AMD athlon x4 860k quad CPU
Geforce GTX 680 GPU
Corsair 750 watt PSU
8 GB of RAM

I don't want to do something as drastic as a BIOS flash (when it might not even work) and am hoping someone has an easy fix for me.■ http://

Try checking for Windows updates.

Uninstall all the drivers you have for usb and then reinstall them (make real sure they are gone... Look for them if you have to).

Make sure they are enabled. Go in to your Bios and peek around.
Update your chipset on processor and see if there's a firmware update for mb or cpu.

Check to see what host controller your usb is and then download it specifically.

Last resort: Flash your Bios -- get it from manufacturers website only. I know my Asus had an ez bios flash utility maybe yours does too.

Try other devices -- maybe the hardware you're plugging in is actually to blame.

If not, download the Asus PC Probe and see what it finds.
