Hello Everyone . I am trying to built a good pc which can handle extreme gaming and virtual manager profile in Ubuntu.I will install Window 7 and Ubuntu.
Here are my specs :-

1)-PROCESSOR Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor

2)-MOTHERBOARD Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO ATX LGA1150 Motherboard Z97

3)-PC CABINET Circle Cabinet Case CC 840

4)-CPU Cooler Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

5)-RAM Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600/2400 MHz Memory

6)-Hard Disk BLACK SERIES 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

7)-Graphic Card Nvidia Zotac Geforce Gtx 970 4GB GDDR5

8)-Power Supply Corsair RW 850W 80+ GOLD Certified Fully-Modular

9)-Wireless keyboard and Mouse(Logitech)

I have tried to get the best available in the market along with squeezing my budget.

I want to know the following :-

Q1)-Can my cabinet can hold the Corsair H100i Liquid cooling as this is the best cabinet available in my budget?

Q2)-Is 8 gb ram enough for EXTREME gaming and other things like watching movies and VM instances or should I go for more memory ?

Also Please explain should i go for 16 gb or 32 gb of ram ( Budget wise but can upgrade in future)

Q3)-Should i go for gtx 970 sli or should i wait and go for 980 ti sli as I want to future proof my PC and don't want to change my pc for another 5-6 years. I have my laptop for about 6 years and it works just fine.(Want to play latest games like Arkham knight,Battlefield,Crysis,Assassin Creed etc)

Note: I can purchase graphic card later on as i can wait.

Q4)-What watt of power supply should i get as i am confused between Corsair RW 850W 80+ Gold certified and RM 1000W 80+ Gold certified ? Also what watt as 980 ti takes more power ?

As stated above i want to future proof my pc as well as want to play the biggest of games without fearing for my motherboard and processor . ( I have seen in youtube as low power supply can fry your motherboard with processor and in worst case scenario your RAM.)

Q5)-What ram speed should i get as i have learned that 1600 is almost as same 2400 MHz ? Is there any good reason for me in gaming to go to 2400MHz ?

If not, then what brand should i get (as the market is available with many ram brand)

Q6)-Is gtx 970 is made by different brand as i have seen ASUS, STRIX, ZOTAC,MSI and other companies online as well ? If yes, then which company should i prefer ?

Sorry for the long post but i have tried to be as clear as i can be.

Thanks IN ADVANCE !!!!

Q1)-Can my cabinet can hold the Corsair H100i Liquid cooling as this is the best cabinet available in my budget?

No idea. All I could find was that it supports air coolers with maximum height of 177cm.

Q2)-Is 8 gb ram enough for EXTREME gaming and other things like watching movies and VM instances or should I go for more memory?

Almost every AAA title today requires minimum system ram of 8GB. If you want to keep your system for 5-6 years and want "Extreme" gaming then I suggest you get 16GB (2x 8GB) now. 32GB Ram is utterly unnecessary right now and very probably for the next 3-4 years.

Q3)-Should i go for gtx 970 sli or should i wait and go for 980 ti sli?

I don't like any Sli or Crossfire since some games make problems and stuttering FPS. Better to get a single GTX 980 Ti. Good brands are Gigabyte G1 Gaming, MSI Gaming, EVGA ACX+ or Kingpin.

Q4)-What watt of power supply should i get as i am confused between Corsair RW 850W 80+ Gold certified and RM 1000W 80+ Gold certified ? Also what watt as 980 ti takes more power ?

Buy any Tier#1 PSU. Normally I recommend also Tier#2 but your system is high spec so only Tier#1 is the safe bet. Use these 2 lists: PSU tier list 2.0 & POWER REQUIREMENTS FOR GRAPHICS CARDS Most GTX 980 Ti cards use dual 8-pin PCIE and need a dedicated Power of 375Watts. For the whole PSu you should buy at least 850Watt.

Q5)-What ram speed should i get as i have learned that 1600 is almost as same 2400 MHz ? Is there any good reason for me in gaming to go to 2400MHz? If not, then what brand should i get (as the market is available with many ram brand)

DDR3-2400 is very cheap now and you should get a good brand so you may OC later. GSkill TridentX, Corsair Dominator Platinum these are two very good brands.

Hope I helped :clin:

The site:- PSU tier list 2.0 & POWER REQUIREMENTS FOR GRAPHICS CARD . In the site of POWER REQUIREMENT FOR GRAPHICS CARD , It is written that

1)-GTX 980 Ti Recommended PSU Wattage (W) 600 PCIe connectors 1-6Pin,1-8Pin

2)-GTX 970 Sli Recommended PSU Wattage (W) 700 PCIe connectors 4-6Pin,0-8Pin

2)-GTX 980ti Sli Recommended PSU Wattage (W) 850 PCIe connectors 2-6Pin,2-8Pin

Q1)-Does that mean i can use my Power Supply Corsair RW 850W 80+ GOLD Certified Fully-Modular ?
I have use "http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator" and the Total Load Wattage 466 W and Recommended PSU is 516 W for
1)-i7 4790k+ Asus Maximus vii Hero
2)-16 gb ddr3 ram (2X8gb ddr3 sticks)
3)-1 Nvidia gtx 980ti
4)-2 SSD, 2 SATA HD DISK 7200 RPM and 1 DVD RW +

and the same site has Load Wattage 709 W Recommended Wattage 759 W when in the same above configuration i have used 2 gtx 980 ti sli.

Q2)-Or should i have to go for RM 1000W or 1250W or higher ? It will not hurt the Mobo/CPU from more higher PSU ,will it ? Don't worry about money , worry about Mob+i7 first !

Q3)-Regarding Cabinet case Circle CC840 "http://www.circlect.com/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=cc+840&page=2&product_id=273"
It is said that this cabinet is made for gaming purpose only and has good comparison "http://www.pc-specs.com/case/Circle/Circle_CC_840/1446" when compared with other case from Cooler master also. I want this case as this case has lot of space and is available for Rs 6,000/- only (USD $90.64)!

But if this is not a case for you, then please suggest a good case which can support gtx 980ti single or sli when required and please tell me that should i have to go for Mid Tower or Full tower as i am suspicious that mid tower will have space problem when i will SLI my gtx 980 ti and won't have enough space for cooling ?

Also the cabinet should support Liquid cooling also as i don't want anything to happen to my CPU !

Thank you Graphics card Master for your time and quick reply !!!!!

If you want to do Sli in future then buy higher than the recommended PSU like at least 200Watts higher.

Corsair RM series are okay but HX or AX series are recommended. Yes a 1000Watt PSU will be best.

You may buy the Cooler Master Storm Trooper. Its a nice casing Full ATx Tower.
