Hi im trying to sli 2 cards, they are the same number, have the same ram, and what it needs to be to be sli. However when i go to nvidia it only shows configure surround, physx instead of configure SLI, surround, physx like on youtube. can someone help me? it may be because my sli bridge is from another motherboard but it should work as well right?

SLI bridge brand doesnt matter. Im using an ASUS bridge on EVGA cards. So thats not the problem.
Are you sure that both cards are completely into place? Just because that plastic holder thing of your motherboard snaps to the cards doesnt mean it's 100% in place. After snapping you can still push the card down a bit.

Yes. You mean the "GEFORCE GTX" on the side of the cards right?
But im not sure if the LEDs go on if they just got power (from the PSU) or if they have to be completely in place too. Did you try to push the seconds card a bit more in? Or maybe you can see if they arent level.

Otherwise i wouldnt know what the problem is. Do both cards show in the device manager?

Can you give full system specs of your build.

Try removing both cards and trying each one in the first pci slot and then move then to the other slot your using for sli. This will ensure that both cards are working and that both slots are working.

If both are showing in the device manager then it must be the SLI bridge.
Did you put the bridge on the first "slot" of your GPUs? Because thats usually the "main slot" of the cards for SLIing.
Should be the one on the left closer to your case.

If this is already the case or still doesnt work change the bridge and everything should work fine, since both get recognized by your system. :)

i put it on the first slot yes. the one on the left when the sli sockets are face you and the card is the right way up (fans down). i dont know what to do

Read the manual it tells you where to put the cards for sli/crossfire

5 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (PCI_E1~E4, PCI_E6), support up to 4-way mode
- 1-way mode: x16/ x0/ x0/ x0/ x0
- 2-way mode: x16/ x0/ x0/ x16/ x0*, x16/ x0/ x0/ x8/ x0**
- 3-way mode: x16/ x0/ x0/ x16/ x8*, x8/ x8/ x0/ x8/ x0**
- 4-way mode: x8/ x8/ x0/ x16/ x8*, x8/ x8/ x0/ x8/ x4**
* For the CPU that supports 40 PCIe lanes
** For the CPU that supports 28 PCIe lanes

I might have found the problem. in the device manager the 2nd card has an exclamation mark on it. What does it mean?
