Hello guys, I recently received my custom built CyberpowerPC and have been unable to play intensive games such as DayZ without getting a "MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION" error. Long story short, between the dump files and BlueScreenViewer, I have found the culprits: ntkrnlmp.exe and hal.dll. I have no idea how to fix this which is precisely why I came here to ask. Please answer as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.

Games that are graphically intense or have large amounts of content in them tend to be the ones that crash (GTAV, DayZ, etc.) I already underclocked my GPU back to what it should be. Also, I'll get the dump file to you in a few minutes.

My laptop's 970M came with driver version 355.60, I downgraded it to 347-something in an earlier attempt to fix these issues, and am now back with driver version 355.60. I am pretty sure the chipset driver is also installed because CyberpowerPC sent me a driver disk in which I install drivers from and I remember clearly installing the chipset one. So what is my next option?

Sounds like GPU Driver issues, try the following:

If you have graphics or driver issues, one of the most common fixes is a clean uninstall and removal of your graphics drivers.

To uninstall your drivers, first download and run Display Driver Uninstaller, and follow it's recommendations of booting into safe mode and ect.
(This is a direct download link so you don't grab the wrong version)
http://www.guru3d.com/files-get/display-driver-uninstaller-download,20.html

You'll download a compressed file called "[Guru3D.com]-DDU.zip"
Right click and choose extract.
Go into the folder and run the DDU v##.##.exe
This will extract more files to this folder.
Run Display Driver Uninstaller.exe
Choose Yes when it asks you to boot into SafeMode.
After you've rebooted into safe mode.
When DDU comes up, if it hasn't selected your GPU manufacturer (Nvidia/AMD/Intel) then choose it from the drop down list
Press the Clean and Restart option
If a window comes up asking to disable the Windows automatic installation of display drivers click yes.

After (or before removing the old drivers, just put the new ones on the desktop or somewhere handy) rebooting back into Windows, manually download the latest drivers from Nvidia or AMD, don't use auto detect, choose you GPU model and OS from the drop down lists.
Nvidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
AMD: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

ALSO, What's your actual Laptop Model #? Cyberpower doesn't make laptops I don't think, but they may sell rebranded ones.
Is this your laptop? http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GE62-2QF-Apache-Pro.html#hero-specification
These "may" be the drivers for your laptop: http://www.msi.com/support/nb/GE62-2QF-Apache-Pro-5.html#down-driver&Win8.1 64
Download and install them all, EXCEPT FOR THE VGA DRIVERS, the driver discs are always garbage.

Reinstall the OS. I have three times. My laptop's default OS was Windows 8 and I upgraded to Windows 8.1. Then I upgraded to Windows 10. Then I reverted back to Windows 8.1

Also, I believe it is possible to customize my laptop so if that is true (and I'm assuming the video card is the issue), what video card should I buy that is in the 900M series that isn't faulty and is compatible with everything?
