My build:
GPU: R9 270X 2GB OC
CPU: AMD FX 8320 8core, 3.5/4ghz
MOBO: m5a78l-m/usb3
PSU: 500w evga 80+ bronze
RAM: 2x4gb (1600mhz)

Hello, I'm looking into getting more RAM but I'm quite confused from what I've heard; stuff like "if you want more RAM, you need to make sure it's the same speed of mhz".

I was looking into getting http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0085IWXB8?ref_=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t

2x4gb (1600mhz)

****
Can I have any advice on this? will my computer have enough power since I only have a 500w with quite a powerful GPU+CPU. - Will my motherboard be compatible for this? etc

Please help!

The link you posted is for a (2x8GB) kit and what you currently have is a 2x4GB setup? Just from what you've posted I'd simply replace what you currently have with the kit in the link. No worries about compatibility and you're doubling the amount of RAM.

If possible, try to stay with the same brand RAM, and specs of your current RAM. I have seen instances in the past where the specs from different brands of RAM were identical, but would not POST due to mix and matching manufacturers.

The RAM you plan on buying has the timings of 9-9-9-24. Check the timings of your current RAM to see if they match up.

Would it matter if the timings didn't match up? And would it be a comfortable idea to just chuck out my old RAM and buy 2x8 sticks?
