I've got a few old Dell machines kicking around that shipped with a Windows license but I don't have the disks.

Can I still install Windows using the COA registration numbers printed on the Windows sticker on the computer?

Solution
Any Windows disk (that is the correct version) will work. If you have Windows 7 Pro, just find a 7 Pro disc and install with your key.

The only time I've had an issue is if the disc was older than the key, and then I just installed updated, and activated the key. I haven't run into this problem with 7 though, only XP.

Thanks and great! Anywhere to get the disc image? I found a Win XP Home disc (purchased it years ago) but it's so scratched up from years of use that it's a no go at this point.
