Hi I'm looking into getting the Sapphire r9 390 which comes with 4gs x2 of ram by

PNY 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model MD8192KD3-2133-R-X10-Z (timing: 10-12-12-31)

and I was hoping if it would be okay/cause a problems if i matched with my CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin (DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B, timing: 9-9-9-24)

If i put these together would it cause unstablitiy with my computer or destroy it

Current Specs:
cpu: i7 4790k
gpu: Sapphire r7 260x
psu: cx 750w
ram:corsair vengeance 4gs x2 1600mhz
motherboard: msi z97 mate
OS: windows 8.1 pro

1. You must keep the matched sets in matching color slots .... see MoBo manual

2. You could buy two of the exact same sets and they are not guaranteed to work together. Two sticks may be stable at certain speeds / timings but not with 4 ... gain even if exactly the same. It can also result in having to lower your OC due to the increased load of 4 sticks vs 2 on your CPUs IMC.

3. At best, if mixing RAM sets, the slower of the two was sold at 1600 cause it couldn't pass stability testing at 2133. So the likelihood is that you will have to set speed and timing to match the lower performance set.

Personally, I think I'd be more inclined to use just the 2133 set.... unless you have apps that require more than 8GB
