ASUS M5A97 LE R.20 / AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Overclocking Capability
I have an ASUS M5A97 LE R.20 Motherboard coupled with an AMD Phenom II X6 1090T processor. I would like to overclock the CPU to see how much performance I can squeeze out of it. I have a Coolermaster Hyper 412S cooling my CPU and I've just applied Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste to it. According to Core Temp, it sits at 20-22 degrees Celsius on idle and doesn't exceed 36 degrees on full load. A contributing factor would be the newly cleaned Antec 900 case that is working all fans at maximum speed, so ventilation is not an issue. Would I be able to OC the CPU on my motherboard to see a significant gain?
