you can easily google the normal operating temps of your cpu & gpu to see where you stand, but if you're not having any issues, why does it matter?
I'm just unsure if I was looking at the correct temp settings or not because they seemed far too low for what I have seen on others sometimes the temperatures are as low as they are on idle while playing games like gtav which I assumed must be wrong
it does seem kinda low. would help if we knew your pc specs. like gpu, cpu, any after market coolers ect. also if you have done any over clocking. but having low temps isnt usually a problem. like the other guy said, alt+tab out of a game and check while the game is running. also get OpenHardwaremonitor
My gpu is Palit Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 Jetstream 4GB GDDR5 not water cooled and my cpu is Intel i7-4770k CPU @ 3.50ghz that is water cooled I just got msi afterburner on screen options so while I'm playing I can see that the gpu has a mostly constant temp of 49 maximum was 55 while cpu is much lower at 35-40 I am viewing option cpu1 so do you think that's deffinitely the correct one?
DOY! no wonder your temps are so low! your cpu is water cooled and isnt overclocked? you need to unleash that thing! unless your building your computer in your oven, water cooling is for overclocking. A lot. Thats why your cpu temp is so low. your gpu might be low because nvidias are more power efficient, or maybe you have a nice case? or a lot of case fans? if your skyrim isnt heavily modded, i dont think its very taxing on a 770. my r9 270x could handle a heavily modded skyrim with at least 30fps, and toms says mine is a couple tiers lower than yours! also, with that good of a card, your cpu could be bottlenecking your gpu. (i could be wrong on that though. im an AMD guy)
anyway, you need to try the witcher 3, or unigen heaven, or some other graphically intensive game and see what your temps look like. skyrim isnt a good one to gauge max temps, because it isnt hard on the higher end cards at all, even when it has a lot of mods.
hope this helps! go do some research on how to (safely) overclock your cpu!
