Best 1000-1200$ Gaming Desktop?

Hey I have built my own gaming PC 2 years ago but im not really up to the best gear atm.I have seen the cheapeast of the ROG and MSI series which are around my budget but if someone could do a list of some of the best desktops avaible for gaming (not necessary very heavy games) would be fantastic and I would really apreciate.And also is there a big difference between an ordinary Asus of 1000$ to a ROG of 1000$?Is it worth it to buy and ordinary computer rather than a one from a gaming brand?
