Hello there

I have the money to fund a $1600 gaming PC, After searching a little while on the internet I concluded the Phanteks Enthoo Pro was my best choice. But know I'm hearing that the case is "out of date" and "needs an update" on some forums. So I'm wondering if the case really is getting old, and if I shouldn't get it. Any thing will help

I would ask the same thing, how exactly it's out of date. Are there newer cases? Of course. It's still one of the most configurable cases around and a decent price for what you get. It still hits all the major points for a good case in my opinion, configurable, wide support for fans with 120/140mm mounts at every location, 200mm mount options front and top, plenty of room for storage drives, good airflow, roomy cable management, up to date case connections (usb 3.0), wide choice of water cooling options.

do new cases have usb 3.1 or type c?

Not that I can tell, not on newegg anyway. Articles revolving around the type c connection are speculating it won't really take off until 2016. There are motherboards which support the usb 3.1 ports and make them available via rear ports on the mobo i/o panel. No cases with front connectors for either that I can find.
