I am a novice when it comes to this kind of stuff.
I just purchased a 500gb Samsung 850 Evo ssd. I am trying to clone the contents from my current hard drive to my new ssd but when I plug it in to my laptop via USB cable, it won't show up in my "Devices and Drives" or in the Samsung data migration software. I'm not sure if the cable is the issue or if I'm making a rookie mistake.
