There's not really much info about proper overclocking on the internet. I have overclocked my CPU to 4.3 GHz with a 1.1487 voltage so far, seems to run stable. But once I go up to 4.5 GHz, my system tends to crash. How much more should I rise voltage? Is 1.4688v still appropriate?

I have an ASRock FM2A85X Extreme4-M -motherboard and a Thermalright HR-02 Macho -heatsink.

Solution
4.3ghz at ~1.15 is a pretty good voltage! As long as you keep your voltages below 1.5, and your temperatures are decent as well, you should be good.

1.4688 is nearing that threshold, and if it takes you that much voltage to get to 4.5, it may not be worth the energy. I would also check your clock rates while stresstesting, and make sure that your motherboard isn't throttling performance due to overheating of the VRM.
