I am planning to buy a new nvidea gtx 960 graphics card ,some of the brands need a 6 pin PCI-E power connection and others need a 8 pin connector
so I am planning to buy a new PSU for that

my complete setup for now is,
intel DH77EB motherboard
intel core i7 3770 3.40GHz (LGA1155)
RAM : 8GB(4GB x2)
2x 7200RPM SATA HDDs
1x Optical Drive(DVD-RW)

there are 6 PSUs available to me in my country from 2 brands
Corsair VS Series and Cooler master Thunder

first of all can any one tell me what is the better brand out of these 2 ?

and what wattage PSU should I buy (out of the list) ?

Corsair VS Series™ VS450 450W 80+
Corsair VS Series™ VS550 550W 80+
Corsair VS Series™ VS650 650W 80+

Cooler master Thunder 450W 85% efficiency
Cooler master Thunder 500W 85% efficiency
Cooler master Thunder 600W 85% efficiency

Thanks !!!

I already has a Aerocool 600W PSU so will it be enough ?

Aerocool is also low quality. Yes, 600 watts is enough. Where are you buying from? Maybe I can find something better for you. What is your budget for a PSU?

Sri Lanka , in here every thing is overpriced and I don't have many choices ... but I already have an Aerocool strike X 600W PSU and I can get FSP Aurum S 500W 80+ Gold too...

I live in sri lanka so there is no online stores only local stores , and all the components are over priced , but my budget is around 100 USD .

A low quality psu has the potential to damage anything it powers. Some Tier 5 units have been known to start fires. Poor psus can cause random shutdowns, shutdowns under load, system instability over voting which causes heat issues and will ultimately damage the hardware.

Hey fellow lankan! Have you tried gamer.lk? They have a classifieds section where people sell used but still good PSUs. Even a used XFX will be better than one of those.

EDIT: Redline Technologies has a Seasonic 450w for around Rs. 10,000. That should be enough for your system.

It is an ECO series unit, which is specific to Asia so it won't be in the PSU Tier list. But rest assured it is a good PSU, just search for 'Seasonice 450w ECO' reviews to see. I'd post the links to reviews myself if my internet wasn't maxed out. The only gripe I have with it is that it isn't black, so it doesn't blend in in most builds, but I'd rather sacrifice looks for performance.
