Hi Everyone,

I've been running a windows dual boot with ubuntu for more than a month now. Both my speakers and headphones were working in both Windows & Ubuntu till yesterday. After the following activities, now only my speakers work on Windows, but both my speakers and headphones still work on Ubuntu.

Today, I updated my Windows with 4 new updates - KB3075249, KB3077715, KB3078667, KB3080149, and after a restart, I went ahead prompted my system to start updating to windows 10 -- it failed, because Acer Laptop's BIOS doesn't support enabling NX. I then discovered that my headphones no longer work (kind of important to me), but my speakers still worked. So, I went ahead performed a system restore, dated for 2 days back... My headphones still didn't work. I reinstalled my Audio Drivers (Intel R Display Audio & Realtek High Defenition Audio) and still no change.

I know it's not an issue with my port or my headphones, 'cuz it works well on Ubuntu, on the same system, so it has to be some kind of software or settings issue...

I'm now pretty much lost for ideas on what to do get my get headphones back up again on Windows 7... Any ideas? I'm using an Acer Aspire 5745 if you're interested to know.
