Need to know which graphics card is best for me.

So basically I am building a new PC with AMD FX-6300 6 core, 8 gb ram etc, and I need to know which graphics card I should have. Basically I will be doing GFX on photoshop, Editing on sony vegas and also modelling on C4D. Also some light gaming, med settings. Which graphics card should I get? or if not one of these which one should i get?

Hello thenemesis360!

The 2 graphics cards which you found could be enough to power through what you intend to be doing with your computer. If you don't mind spending a little more than what you're looking at, you could get an r9 270. I'm featuring an r9 270x (half a step up from the r9 270), and I'm able to do all of my modeling/rendering (using blender and CAD), as well as editing (using Photoshop, Gimp and Adobe AE). I am also a pretty heavy gamer, and I can reach high to ultra settings on all of the games I play (Far cry 3/4, Bioshock Infinite, Metro 2033/Last Light Redux, etc...), so I would expect you to be able to reach high, if not a little higher with an r9 270.

It's really hard to recommend any GPU without knowing a budget or the power supply that you currently have in your computer (or intend to buy). Can you please provide a little more information?

300w is anemic, most units in that range are garbage that cannot put out the wattage they claim.

the 270 needs 500w or better with a 6-pin cable

the 260x needs minimum a great 400w-450w with at least a 6-pin pcie cable.

Max gpu you can run is a gtx 750 ti that runs off the power of your motherboard's pcie slot itself.

You might catch one on sale for sub $100
