Do I need to update my BIOS before installing my new CPU?

Motherboard is Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 Rev. 4.0 and I'm upgrading from a FX-6100 to my newly purchased FX-8350. System Information (Windows 10) shows I have BIOS version F2 at the moment.

It will work straight out of the box.

the 8350 requires version F1 so you are fine with F2.

You already know the FX-8350 is supported by F1; you need F3 only if you get an FX-8320E, FX-8370E, etc.
