Hey everyone,

Long time lurker and first time poster here..

I built my current system about 3 years ago now and feel as though it's about time for an upgrade. I don't need anything that is particularly intensive as I just do a bit of gaming here and there. So my question is - if you had my current specs, which component would you upgrade first, and what would the new component be?

My specs:

CPU: Intel i5 -2500K
CPU Cooler: Stock (Had watercooling rig but pump failed and had other issues etc)
GPU: Asus GTX 560
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3
[strike]SSD: Corsair Force Series 60GB[/strike] - Has since died (RIP)
HDD: 1TB WD Blue Series (I think)
MB: P8P67 EVO
PSU: Corsair HX 850W
Monitor: Acer V233HL

Also, I would love to sell the monitor I have and get something bigger. I like the look of the LG ultrawide monitors but they are pretty pricey. Additionally, there's not much point in upgrading to such a good monitor with my current GPU situation right?

Thanks for your time and I appreciate all feedback! :)

Sorry - other thread got deleted as I accidentally double posted (oops). I like your suggestions on the other thread for the GPU and CPU cooler upgrade, however, since I'm in Australia (sorry forgot to mention that part), those components would cost me over $600 here. :(

What is your next best alternative over the GTX 970?

Thanks!

^ what he said. what is your budget? an ssd, a simple cooler like the hyper 212 or equivelant, and a gpu upgrade and you are good to go. there is no point in upgrading your cpu as it is still relatively very fast, especially with a simple 4.4ghz overclock.... the 2500k is probably the best overclocking cpu of all time.
