Hello, i used 2 evo corsa geil sticks of 4gb each on an Asrock 970 extreme3 motherboard. One of the two ram sticks failed hard, no idea how or why. Although it detects 8gb of ram, only 4 are available. Plus, my system wont even boot with only the faulty ram stick installed.
Anyway, i want to buy a new ram stick. Do i have to buy two new ones, or this model is compatible with other 4gb rams? Also, if i have to buy completly new ram, is it better 2 sticks of 4gb or one 8gb? Max price 50-60 euros

gpu vtx3d radeon hd 7870 x edition 2gb gddr5
psu corsair cx600 80 plus bronze 600w
