Should I get a gtx980 or 980ti for my rig.

I have a bonus from work and want to upgrade my GPU. My current specs are:

I5 4670k @3.4ghz
Gtx 770 2gb
8gb ram
1080p 75hz monitor

I have enough for the 980ti but I am concerned it may be bottlenecked by my CPU with the ti or my monitor. Which would you say is best value whilst still being a worthy upgrade?

GTX 980 ti is as good as it gets, but you'd need a 1440 or 2160 monitor to realize its' potential. If you stay at 1080P then GTX 980 is more than enough.

The GTX 980ti will be the better upgrade for the $$$, much faster then the 980 with also the additional 2gb of vram. There will be not CPU bottleneck even @stock.

GTX 980ti is far enough according to your current system specs. No such bottleneck occurs but if occurs then it will be barely noticeable.

Thanks for the info guys, I think I will go for the 980ti but as you say I should probably look at upgrading my monitor too.
