Well my temps when running that game have been somewhat like that i wonder is that is normal since that game inst supposed to draw or require much system power let alone that much video power anyways the thing is i wonder why its getting that much hot if the game isnt really that demanding considering also my specs are:

core I7 2600k (no overclock)
8gb 1600mhz ddr3
Gtx 970 4gb vram
750Gb blue (7200rpm)hd(main)
3tb green (backup drive)
700w PSU thermaltake

was about 56% or so i think it has to do with the target temperature on firestrom (my card is a zotac gtx970) i think its odd because its not really a demanding game and it happens even if i open the case, the thing is it happens with some games but not all, anyways i know demanding games do put it hot but its still safe since i have played for long periods with batman arkham knight and its been good so far so i dont think its overheating or anything just wanted to make sure the game is supposed to act like this with the gtx 970

not normal. My gigabyte 970 G1 goes to 70º top top max, and this is playing GTA5 or Star Citizen, both on max. GPU is always 100% utiliz.

Check your GPU's fan speed when GPU reaches those temps. Also, maybe you may want to uninstall and reinstall the GPU drivers. That simply is not normal.

the thing is blasc you dont have the reference card not the reference cooler, the reference cards are supposed to reach 80C or 79C you have one that probably have an aftermarket or special cooler mine is based on reference cooler so i need someone with the reference cooler and planetary annihilation to make sure since batman ak and gta v i know it should reach 80C besides i am in a tropical temperature so i think its pretty much normal for those 2 to make it so hot

blasc check it you dont have the reference cooler also here the temps are like 20c to 25C, also as you i thougrimh it was too hot for the card but after some research i did found out that its normal and nothing to worry about, the thing is the game i am playing is no pushover not even close to skyrym or Gta V which i can play on ultra with 80c temp or batman arkham knight wich i play on high 1080p (all nvidia effects off) and faxx, the thing is planetary annihilation is not really a vanguard game in graphics and it still puts my card on high temps which skyrym doesnt and it has better graphics at least for my eyes.
