Robbie-t :
Just bought a Samsung 850 Evo 250GB SSD intending to only copy over the operating system and related files from my 640gb used HDD. When I began the cloning process it concerned me as Unless I misunderstood it advises that any files you select to be ignored from the cloning process will be deleted from the source disk! Why on earth would it do this? Have I misunderstood? or is there a way to leave them alone so they become the data files on the secondary disk?
I should have mentioned the source drive is probably formatted to remove the OS, otherwise it can't be called a migration but a duplication and that can be considered a form of piracy.. at least that's how the software seems to handle it... particularly if it doesn't include options to leave the source drive intact... but you don't necessarily have to use that specific migration tool.. Other cloning tools are much more flexible.
