is my power supply dead?

I was playing counter strike and my computer randomly shutoff and wont turn back on.
I tried with different outlets and its a no go.

specs of my computer

i5 4690
8gb ram
gtx 970
h81-hd2 gigabyte
120 gb ssd
250 gb hdd
480 watt logysis power supply

I cheeped out on the power supply :/

Do any of the lights on the motherboard turn on or the fans spin for a second when you try and power up the machine?

Logisys power supply are tier5. You need to replace it right away.

"Tier Five

What Archaic said. Logisys, Diablotek, etc. = don't buy/use if you care about the equipment, anything flammable which might be nearby and possibly your life due to fire or electrical hazard.

Corsair distributes a handful of different models that end with 850M, you need to include the full model name/number and not omit any characters.

That said, just about anything from the the better brands is certain to be considerably better than tier five.

The CX(M) series has inconsistent quality which earned it a spot in tier four of the list. You will likely need to replace the PSU again in a few years.
