I have a SkyWorth model SLC 1551A-1 with the dvd player built in on the left side. I got it used in 2009. Other then the DVD player having some issues about not wanting to play some DVD's. It has been a great tv. I just recently started using the SkyWorth tv as an extra monitor for when I need the extra screen when I run 2 prog's at the same time for ham radio, when I am playing a new game and I display the keyboard cmd's on the SkyWorth and so on.
I found that the SkyWorth tv when in PC mode does not have the same color hue as the laptop screen. Like one of the desktop background scenes I have picture of a field of hay been harvested. On the laptop the hay is the right color. On the SkyWorth the hay is medium green like the grass in front of my apt. I looked at the settings menu on the SkyWorth. There is on the picture menu contrast, brightness, sharpness and color mode. But the manual color gain, tint and zoom mode are grayed out. And in regular tv mode the color gain and tint is also still grayed out and non-usable. The color mode control doesn't do anything. It doesn't unlock the color gain and tint. I can see those controls but I can't click on them. I can't find anything in the manual as to how to do a manual over ride to turn those controls on. It is either someone forgot to put the over ride in the software, or there is some kind of manual over ride switch inside the tv.

It worked for normal tv. The manual over ride is turned on for the color gain and tint. But not in PC mode. I still can't change the color gain or the tint. In PC mode I can change contrast, brightness and sharpness only.

then try calibrating the monitor from inside windows. you may need a driver to get it to work properly though.
right click on desktop
display settings
advanced
select the display 1 or 2 (which ever it is)
calibrate display.

*just make sure the display is set to default on the tv/monitor menu.

I tried calibrating the monitor from inside windows. It didn't do any good for the tint. I was very lucky to find the owners manual online for the SkyWorth. Finding anything for the SkyWorth is a chore. I wouldn't even begin to know were to find the monitor driver. I may have to just live with the tint been off. Other then the tint been off. The SkyWorth works just fine as an extended monitor. Text is clear and very readable for that job of putting up a doc for a new game or a new prog that I am working on. Rather then wasting ink and paper on printing the doc.
