Is it a good idea to upgrade this PC?

Hi there,
I have an old PC and I was wondering if I could upgrade it to get kind of a low-end gaming machine.
Specs:
Intel Pentium E6600 Dual-Core 3,06GHz
Asrock G41M-VS3 MoBo
2Gigs of DDR3 Ram
A 400W PSU
Windows Vista 32-bit
And a G41 Chipset as a GPU

So, because I'm a student, I won't have a whole lot of money to buy a completly new PC
Let's say I buy 4 Gigs of Ram (1Stick) addionally to the 2 Gigs, that would be 6GB and for me preeetty OK, And a cheap GPU, like a Radeon 250X (240X), or a 650ti or something like that.
Would that boost the PC and gaming performance?
Games I want to play:
Mostly CS:GO
DotA 2
Skyrim
Battlefield 3

Is this possible to achieve? I'm happy about every suggestion and feedback!

2x 4GB sticks would be what most gamers use. Putting in 2 different sizes may slow your computer down. For a GPU I would recommend the new GTX 950 it has a very good price/performance ratio.

What is your budget for motherboard, CPU, RAM & GPU?
