im using dell inspiron 15 3542 ..which is intel core i3 ,4GB ram , 1.8GHz processor and intel HD graphics 4400...
and im usinin softwares like autocad , revit and also fr gaming, but my laptop is vary slow...
in task manager it always shows almost 80% of ram is filled ...so im planing to change my 4 GB ram to 8 GB...
so my question is .....will this 8 gb ram hepls my laptop to incrase its speed or it remains the same ? and will it be sufficient for m 1.8 GHz processor ?
.........thanks in advance!!!............

Solution
For CAD & gaming, 8GB of RAM would definitely produce positive results; however, your CPU is a little on the weak side, but that is expected in an aged laptop. Try giving it a clean or replacing the thermal paste so the motherboard doesn't throttle the maximum performance of the CPU, too.
