I have recently built a new system and every time I try to install a game or software on steam, or anything like steam (origin, etc.), I get a BSoD. If the game is not associated with something like steam such as having its own launcher installing and playing is always smooth. This only occurs when I'm installing steam games, but on one rare case I did get steam to install the witcher three and alien isolation. Although, when I opened these games they both did not work properly. The witcher three was without sound except for the background noise. I could hear the wind and birds in the background, but not the actual characters or any other sound. For Alien Isolation I could go through the game menu, settings, etc. but when I tried to play the game I would load in, but there were no visual anything. I could walk around and hear my footsteps but I couldn't see anything, it was just black. I've tried everything and I can't seem to get a fix. I've done memcheck, chkdsk, updating graphics drivers, completely reinstalled all the drivers that came with my motherboard disk, etc. Nothing seems to be working, I just keep getting blue screens.

open event viewer -> windows logs -> system -> filter current log -> select critical, error and warning, look for events around the time of the crash, also look for disk events, let us know what you find.

you can also review the application log for any clues.
open event viewer -> windows logs -> application
